Subject: Bird Conference in Green Bay, Sept 29 - Oct 1

Dear birders,

Registration is now open for the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative's
Annual Meeting to be held Thurs-Sat, Sept 29 - Oct 1, in Green Bay. View the
detailed agenda and register at http://www.wisconsinbirds.org/annualmeeting.htm

We've planned a long list of activities aimed at Wisconsin's birders and bird
conservationists alike:

  * Identification talks;
  * Hands-on eBird workshops taught by the WI eBird team;
  * Birding by ear training;
  * Lake Michigan birding field trip led by Tom Prestby (who guarantees a
Pacific Loon);
  * A special Western Great Lakes Bird & Bat Observatory event with Noel
Cutright;
  * Evening social focusing on the future of the Wisconsin Society for
Ornithology;
  * A full day of talks on Common Loons, Golden-winged Warblers, Spruce Grouse,
and other active research projects in the state; and
  * WBCI meeting outlining the path to successful bird monitoring programs.

This promises to be a fun, educational, and social event featuring a broad
cross-section of Wisconsin's birding community. Register and book your hotel
room today!

If you have any questions about the conference, please contact WBCI's primary
organizers, Andy Paulios (andy.paulios@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) and Ryan Brady
(ryan.brady@xxxxxxxxxxxxx). Hope to see you there...
