I forgot to mention that I also saw two juvenile Hooded Mergansers today 
swimming/diving in the stream just below the dam.  I am guessing that they 
came from a nest located somewhere within this wetland.  There were a number 
of nest boxes at the site.

Dan Belter and I stopped at this spot and observed two Black neck stilts for 
a good 1/2 hour.  We also saw 9 Great Egrets and 4 Green Herons.  Just as we 
were heading back to the car we 9 Black-crowned Night Herons fly over head.
