Description


Federal Protective Services (FPS) is conducting a Sources Sought and a
Request for Information (RFI). Purpose is to seek Service-Disabled
Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors with requisite
experience/ability to provide armed Guard Services for approximately 198
Posts within the following Region 8 areas:     Southern & Western Slope
posts, Denver Federal Center Guard posts, Denver West Guard posts, Downtown
and East posts, Fort Collins posts, Boulder posts, Greeley Guard posts.
Interested SDVOSB parties are advised that FPS will not pay for any
information or any administrative costs incurred which are associated with
any responses received from the companies responding to this SS/RFI.
Failure to respond may/may not result in exclusion from related future
competition.     Information provided under this SS/RFI is for FPS use only,
and will not be released to the public.     Any proprietary information
submitted must be marked as proprietary, and will be protected accordingly.
Government intends to solicit proposals for a basic contract period, plus
four one-year option periods:     Basic contract period may begin on or
about April 1, 2008 and end September 30, 2008, 1st Option Year October 1,
2008 - September 30, 2009, 2nd October 1, 2009 - September 30, 2010, 3rd
October 1, 2010 - September 30, 2011, 4th October 1, 2011     ?     30
September 2012.     Intended tasks include:     Contractor shall provide all
labor, equipment, uniforms, weapons, transportation and supervision to
provide armed security guard services for some 24-hour/day posts, 7 days a
week, including weekends and Federal holidays. Contractor shall provide and
ensure contract guards are trained and have a full understanding of the
significance of protecting and securing Federal facilities and the occupants
therein; contractor shall meet all FPS, federal/state/local requirements,
maintain current and valid certifications.     The prospective Contractor
must be capable of meeting the start date, and must have the necessary
organization, experience, accounting controls, and technical skills to
provide a best value electronic timekeeping system, provide accurate and
timely invoicing on or before 5th day of each month.     Information
submitted as a result of this posting shall be provided on the Company's
letterhead to include the company's DUNS #.     For relevant and recent past
performance information, please provide a brief summary of three contracts
for similar work, contract total value, government agency, contract
number(s), agency's contact person, email address, and telephone number.
Financial information may be required at a later date.     Government
estimates total contact value will range from $35,000,000.00 to
$45,000,000.00     NAICs code is 561612; Size Standard is $17.0M.
Government intends to post a draft Request for Proposal on or about August
