IMPORTANT!!!

Please read this if you compete at all at District (BGN), National (BSA) or
International level!

Dear Wingaters,

Bowls SA is a member of SASCOC and a signatory of an agreement regarding
drug-free sport, as part of the world-wide organisation - World Anti-Doping
Agency (WADA). The South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS)
implements worldwide protocols in this regard.

As such, all players who compete at distrist, national or international
level are required to comply with WADA and SAIDS with regards to the intake
of banned substances and random drug testing which may take place at any
tournament.

If you do compete in any BGN tournaments, please read the attached circulars
from Bowls SA:

*       01 - Circular 8/2017
*       02 - Circular 32/2017
*       03 - Circular 70/2017

You will then be required to please complete the attached form(s):

*       04 - Bowls SA SAIDS Acknowledgement Form (COMPULSORY)
*       05 - Theraputic Use Excemption Form (Only required if you may test
positive for any banned substance through medication - needs to be completed
in conjunction with your prescribing physician)

Please send your completed form(s) to our Secretary, Elaine Schapiro to be
uploaded on the BSA Database - schapyfamily@xxxxxxxxxxxx

It is vitally important that you complete these forms as soon as possible if
you compete in any BGN tournaments, as random drug testing can be performed
at any time without warning, and testing positive for a banned substance may
result in suspension from Bowls South Africa!
