[windows2000] connecting Mac OS 10.2 to Active Directory

Hey all,
We are mainly a Windows house but our Webserver is a mac running os 10.2. server
We want username and passwords pulled from the Active Directory server. This
would allow us to lock down any site (in theory) by using an .htaccess file
linked to Mac OS X's authentication list.
Anyone had any experience with this?
