If it's just a one-time change, which it should be, you could script it out
using sc.exe (from the Resource Kit if nowhere else)

sc <file://\\machine1> \\machine1 config browser start= demand
sc <file://\\machine2> \\machine2 config browser start= demand
sc <file://\\machine3> \\machine3 config browser start= demand
...

Subject: [windows2000] changing properties of Computer Browser Service

Any way to change the properties for this service to "manual" for about 65
machines spread across the state besides through the management console GUI?

TIA

Chris
