We are using 6.13, don't know if that is the same version as you, or why
it should be different than 6.1. Did you look at block size and other
settings? The *nix boxes may set it wrong. You can tell sometimes if you
see the tape shuffling (going back and forth instead of just forward).

What version of Legato? Both Networker and Netbackup needed upgrades
here to handle W2K properly ( we are retiring legato, to much of an
annoyance, although Veritas has it's bad points too), kl

Hi There

Is anyone using Legato Networker as their Backup system?
We are having issues with backing up our a couple of our W2K SP3 & SP4
Servers.
The problem we are having is the actual backing up of the data from our
W2K file servers is running very slow.
The backup are controlled through a Unix server and written to tape in a
tape library.
Everything worked fine when the servers were NT4 servers but since
installing W2K the backups are slow.
As a consquence of this the file serving performance of the servers has
degraded considerably.
Even I'm starting to get annoyed with the performance.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why performance would be so slow?

Thanks in advance,

Stephen
