I only have three computers that will ever need it. A script might be = the way to go. Then I can just have a shortcut for each one and turn = them on quickly. What is involved with making a script to do it? Maybe Ray has one lying around that does this and he would be kind = enough to share it. :) Greg -----Original Message----- From: Nail, Larry [mailto:lnail@xxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, December 19, 2002 11:28 AM To: 'windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [windows2000] Re: Wake on LAN Greg, there are a bunch of utilities to do it, plus you can script it = with VBScript... Note that some system BIOS' have a on / off switch for WOL = that you might want to check out too. =20 My biggest disappointment with WOL is that the vendors have not built = WOL into their products. I'd love to see it in a backup suite so I could = just tell my folks to turn their PC's off in the evening... Imagine the electricity savings if I was able to turn off a few thousand PC's an evening.
