[windows2000] Vbscript and scheduled tasks

I've writen a small vbscript to delete files that are over X days old from a
particular drive.
If I run this from the desktop..all is well.
I'd like to run this as a scheduled task .. but it always fails.
I'm running the task as a local admin of the box.
I'm assuming that vbscript is not allowed to run as a scheduled task ??
Is it "tweakable" to make it run
Any pointers would be great.
