I'm telling you right now, that is a bad idea. You are talking about $1400 is
goods in exchange for ads? Take that cost for the seller and make it half $700
(sellers cost for the computer), now devide by 3 = $234 (3 years). That means
for that computer to be worth jack I would have to spend $2,340 per year on
goods the ads people are selling (that's based on a 10% margin of gross
profit). This is only to break even on the cost of the computer. I don't know
about you but no computer ad ever made me spend more than $20 (which was
netflix). Over 3 years, that company is going to lose money unless they give
out really crappy computers. I have a better idea, go back to NetZero which
gives free Internet for watching ads. That makes sense. There are no hard
goods you are dealing with, you can cancel your users easily, and being your an
ISP you can probably force them watch things at the ISP level. If I had a
computer I'd figure out how to crack the box and get all the adware off it.

My thoughts,

Gunnar

Well, you might get random movie previews if you have one of these
computers:

someone will figure out how to get rid of the ads within a week.

I want the clapper for mine.

You have issues. You shouldn't get random movie previews on your computer.
