You could set things up with SUS to download them to the computers but not
install them. The only other solution would be one of the products from
Shavlik. www.shavlik.com

I've been playing with SUS, but I don't like the idea of the servers going out
and automagically updating themselves... I want to sit on a server and
actually do the installation myself rather than have the Automatic Updates
service "help me."

I think that is the whole idea behind MS SUS. I havent had a chance to check
it out yet, but it is supposed to work pretty well.

Is there a way to snake the WindowsUpdate website to a local WWW server that
Microsoft supports? I'm really getting tired of going out to WindowsUpdate all
the time to get updates when it'd be a whole lot faster to do it locally!
Maybe a better question would be: Does Microsoft "support or allow" admins to
do this??
