We pay our microosft deal yearly, based on the number of users.
I suggest you contact a salesrep from microosft. there is a lot of different

Create an escrow account somewhere, and cut a check to that account every
year for a third of total, and then pay the SA at the end of three years...
Or explain to management that it is a three year thing, and that the costs
per year are $x, but you will be looking for 3x every 3 years.
I don't think MS does 1 year SA's...

I have a dream that one day I will never have to buy new software from
Microsoft. I think SA makes this doable on a 3 year period but I'm looking
for something a little bit bigger than that. Does anyone know if there is a
way to just pay M$ every year a certain amount and always get updates.
Ideally this would make setting a budget a very easy thing. Right now every
three years I have a large check that needs to get cut. It would be sweet
if I cut checks every year for lesser amounts and always kept my software up
to date. Any ideas?
