I am using RIS installed on a Windows 2000 server to install Win XP on
some existing computers.
I used RIS to install Windows 2000 and did not have any problems. I
checked Microsoft's site and they said you needed a couple of updates on
the Win 2000 server to do this so I installed them.

I start the install and the initial Computer Name is the user name with
a number after it (Admin1). I stop the install and create a new computer
object, copy the GUID from the Admin1 computer account to the new object
and restart the RIS installation. It seems to work correctly until we
get to the GUI part of the install and it no longer has the correct
Computer Name and is not part of the Domain.

I have been trying to find information about how to edit REMBOOT.sif
file and tell what the different settings mean but can not find any
information on Microsoft.com.

Any ideas?

Thanks
