I'm just lazy myself which is why I do it.

this is the only list I am on that anyone has ever complained about it.

Well, I don't see how each message could possibly be it's own entity, since 
it's a discussion, but at least you have a coherent opinion on the subject, 
most people on this list do it because they don't know any better, or can't 
figure out how to change their Outlook settings.  This is one of few lists 
I'm on where it's even remotely tolerated, however I believe you're right 
that we have religious differences on this issue.
