Any info from the eventlogs? Mainly the application and system logs, but it
won't hurt to check the security log too, as it may be a security issue.

Good afternoon,
Finally an on topic question for me. I have a windows 2003 server that I am
trying to install service pack 1 on. I have download it from
Microsoft.com/downloads instead of installing through windowsupdate but am
unable to get past the "backing up registry" portion of the install.
Any thoughts?
