Yup, have used it for a number of years without issue, and before that,
the earlier versions.

I note you'll always get the recommendations for commercial products to
do this, and all I would say is - if that's worth it for you as an
individual / company - then fine and dandy, but there is no technical
reason why the MS tools won't do the job.

Believe me, there's no reason why modprof doesn't, or shouldn't work.
I've been using it (and it's predecessors) for years to dynamically
create outlook profiles for Citrix / terminal server users, that have
mandatory profiles.

Sounds a bit odd - you could always do the userenv debugging thing to
get a more detailed picture of what's happening during login. I take it
there's nothing odd in the event log?
