Its been a while, but I need to revisit this. I have set this up as you recommended, but now I'm having some strange problems. Whenever I turn on one of the machines that this is set up on I get a complete print out of everything that was printed the day before. The queue is not purging itself so to speak. Is there a setting I'm missing? -----Original Message----- From: Sullivan, Glenn [mailto:GSullivan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, August 08, 2003 9:52 AM To: 'windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [windows2000] Re: Printers for ALL Only local printers will show for all users. But you can make network printers pseudo-local: In the add printer wizard, choose "Local Printer (Do not detect)" and when asked for a port, choose "New Local Port" When prompted for the local port name, put the UNC of the network printer queue. I'm sure this is by design, but when I install a printer, it only appears for the user who is logged in at the time. Next user, install printer.....next user - install printer..... What do I have to do to install a printer and have it appear for ALL the users of that perticular machine. Some pc's will have 10 different users per day. tai jim
