The other thing we have found is if you use the wizard to join the domain it
works better.
(My computer/Properties/Network ID tab/Network ID button in the middle of
the window.)

Normally, Ray is correct.  But I believe (and I may be wrong) that once you
add the DS client, it makes the process of joining a domain emulate a Win2K
box instead of an NT4 box, at least in respect to Name Resolution...
