Will these VPN routers work with other brands of VPN routers, say a Linksys BEFVP41 http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?prid=411&grid=34 or a Netgear FVM318? http://www.netgear.com/products/prod_details.asp?prodID=159&view= Brian -----Original Message----- From: windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Costanzo, Ray Sent: Friday, January 10, 2003 5:07 PM To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: OT? Trojan Horses I have a Web server and I see people trying to get onto it all the time through Terminal Services, FTP, or whatever else. I also see plenty of http requests using known flaws in unpatched IIS installs that will execute administrative scripts. I'm amazed at all the attacks, honestly. So I'd guess it's likely that you are getting attacked that much. Most of the time, it's not people doing it manually. It's other infected computers automatically doing it. That's my guess anyway. But the best and simplest thing to do is to just go get a broadband router and stick it between your DSL modem and your computer. http://www.dlink.com/products/broadband/di804v/ would suffice. Broadband routers have built in firewalls that are sufficient, in my opinion.
