Yeah it was. After I installed Thunderbird it asks each time but that is only after it is already loaded and I had to click on the OK error about Outlook Express not being installed. I have been researching and messing with this problem for about 4 months now! I ended up wiping it out and starting over to clear it up. It only happened on one of the two I was installing at the time. anything useful from regmon? Do you have an exchange server anywhere? We recently sent in for our Exchange 2003 media kit as part of software assurance and it came with Outlook 2003 CD. I have a friend who is a lead on the Outlook development team in Redmond. If you can wait few days I can float this past him and see what he has about it.
