I understand what you mean...

But I am the BOFH v2.0.  I have no problem telling people like this to
get lost.  Go ahead, call my boss and complain.  He'll say "What
department again?  Outside the company?  And how should we bill you for
this service?"

Conversations end fairly quickly that way.

(to be completely honest, that has never happened... If you are nice to
me, I'm nice to you.  But if I had the situation you mentioned below, I
wouldn't hesitate...)

Back to the topic at hand... Anyone?

I have been burned by this in the past when my users have forwarded them
and suddenly their relatives and friends start calling me for help.  I
had an angry brother in law of one of my users call here screaming at me
because he insisted directions for clearing the IE cache was an attempt
to steal his credit card number.
