You need to enable the object auditing policy for the computer, then enable
auditing on each relevant folder in Windows explorer,
right-click>properties>security>advanced>Auditing. Set the level of auditing
you require.
Messages will then go into the event log.

Hi Guys,
Is there a way to monitor when modifications are done to folders i.e folder
deleted in windows 2003. The situation. I have student complaining that thier
folders are being deleted. We are trying to track things down, not quite sure
were u set this up in Event Viewer. I know it is a local policy, but not quite
sure where to look.
