There is a Windows XP Procomputer that I support that is missing the
automatic updates service. The service doesn't appear in the
services list, and the Automatic Updates tab of the system control
panel is missing. There are no active policies intentionally set on
this computer (heck, we're not even using AD), and as near as I can
tell there are none unintentionally set. I can't find any
information about this in the knowledgebase. Anybody else run
across anything like this?
