I don't see why not. Its still just a location in sysvol and a bat or =
cmd file. If you make that that bat or cmd call kix it will run the kix =
scripts.

Click the "Show Files" and then get the address bar to appear and you =
will see the location it is pointing to.

As you can tell, I don't run mine this way but I still think it would =
work.

That works for logon scripts in user and computers.

But there is a place when creating GPO's to assign startup/shutdown and
logon/logoff scripts. I don't believe these can be kix files.

make your logon.bat or whatever one line that is something like this:

"@ECHO OFF"
"%0\..\kix32.exe kixtart.kix"

or whatever your script is then put all the necessary files in the =3D =
logon
script folder on a DC in winnt\SYSVOL\sysvol\domainname\Scripts

But I don't think you can use Kix scripts from GPO's.
If I'm wrong someone please correct me, because I would love to us my =
=3D kix
script as startup scripts.

Thanks,jb

yes. Personally I like kix. It is much faster than a plain old batch =
=3D =3D3D
file. Lots of support available for it at kix.org as well.

Subject: [windows2000] Logon scripts

Hi everyone=3D3D20

I know I've asked this question before, and I apologize if I seem =3D3D
ignorant, but I just want to get my information straight:

With logon scripts - Active Directory has a place for you to "put" the
scripts (Computer configuration, Windows settings, scripts), but the =
=3D3D
scripts still need to be written, either by Pearl, VB, Kix, etc. Am I
correct =3D3D on this information?

Thanks again everyone

Russell
