One of the first thing i'd check was gateway, subnet, connection, power all the
stupid stuff that makes you yell at someone.

the printer server know the gateway address? That and check the cable. Try
pinging it on the same subnet to verify then go to the next subnet.

Subject: [windows2000] Installing Network printer accross different subnets

Hello everyone;
I need some help in installing a network printer on a different subnet. I use
the common way of installing, creating port, IP addresses, etc. But when I
tried to assign a IP address to a printer on one of my subnets, it can't find
it. I know the default subet, subnet mask, etc. I can't ping the IP address
of the jet direct, NOTHING. I have one DC running AD. Am I missing something
in my DC config, or is there somthing else I need to do to accomplish this.
