Yeah, I have run into that a couple of times. I use the button on the = IE toolbar to shut it off when need be. I don't mind the hassle, it = does so well the rest of the time. -----Original Message----- From: Richards, Brian [mailto:brichard@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 17, 2003 3:28 PM To: 'windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [windows2000] Re: Hosts file link I downloaded freesurfer and we're using it at home - but remember that = it also blocks java-based windows that pop that you might WANT to have displayed! -----Original Message----- From: Greg Reese [mailto:GReese@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 17, 2003 12:12 PM To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: Hosts file link I run adaware on my terminal servers every couple of weeks and I found a = =3D program called Free Surfer that does an incredible job at blocking =3D popups (www.free.surfer.tc). Haven't tried it on a TS yet but it works = =3D great on 2k and XP. I am extending my skills by getting a programming degree and have to =3D take an intro class in operating systems (long story). I am assembling = =3D some links for my lab partner who is a total newbie to computers. I =3D forgot to add Adaware though.
