Jim

thank you

first I made a mistake, we are using the HP Compaq
t5525 linux thin clients.

the Canon is a USB and the lexmark is a parallel
printer. I've tried all sorts of things including
calling HP support. HP support say Linux is open
source, so they don't support it. go figure they sold
it.

I need to find a way to copy the driver somehow and
that should fix it. Problem is HP has this printer
wizard that has limited options to change things. I
can get to the root, but I'm not sure what drivers I
should be looking for. And once I have them, where do
I store them.

I'll try your suggestion, but I have my doubts.
