If you were hardcore like me, you'd use my browser.  I use Telnet and just 
parse the response with my eyes.  And note that I'm running the white-screen 
Telnet.

if we had stuck with mosaic, we wouldn't be in this mess. i want a text only 
browser.  ditch the flash and multimedia.

        I predict that Google has a goal of making this browser bootable.  In
        their modern-day-green-screen world, all one needs is a dumb terminal
        with a browser.  And so the cycle continues....  Dumb client + smart
        server, smart client + smart server, smart client + dumb server, repeat,
        repeat, repeat...
