[windows2000] Re: Ghost IPs

I had this happen a while back and found it by using Ethereal. I turned
the server off, started sniffing for the dup ip by
starting ping traffic for the ip. Once Ethereal finds responses from
the ip, If you drill down through the detail, it sometimes gives you some
info on the MAC address - ie. manufacturer, in my case we found it to be a Wyse
terminal ... and we only
had a few online at the time, so it was easy to find. In your case maybe
Intel or 3COM or etc ...
