DocRepair http://www.jufsoft.com/docrepair/ It was a while ago, if I remember it basically exported the doc to a txt file. We had a very large document with a lot of formatting so it wasn't very useful for us. You might try saving as an html and then importing into a clean file. Also, is there a large amount of text boxes, or text boxes with graphics in them. I have narrowed down some problems we have had to be related to the text box. Usually when they contain graphics. >-----Original Message----- >From: windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >[mailto:windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sorin Srbu >Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2005 3:26 AM >To: Windows2000 Mailing List Windows2000 Mailing List >Subject: [windows2000] Fixing corrupt Word doc-files > > >Hi list, > >Has anybody on this list ever used some kind of tool to fix >corrupt word >doc-files? > > > >BW, > >Sorin > ># Sorin Srbu, Systems Engineer Web: http://pharm.orgfarm.uu.se/pc/ ># Dept of Medicinal Chemistry, Phone: +46 (0)18-4714482 >3 signals> GSM ># Div of Org Pharm Chem, Mobile Phone: +46 (0)701-718023 ># Box 574, Uppsala University, Fax: +46 (0)18-4714474 ># SE-751 23 Uppsala, Sweden Visit: BMC, Husargatan 3, D5:512b ># ># Public PGP key available on request. ># ># () ASCII ribbon campaign - Against html E-mail ># /\ ># ># Harmless tagline follows: ># ># BOFH excuse follows: dynamic software linking table corrupted > > >***************************** >New Site from The Kenzig Group! >Windows Vista Links, list options >and info are available at: >http://www.VistaPop.com >***************************** >To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation >mode or view archives use the below link. > >http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm > Lonnie Truskowski Information Technology Manager Borton-Lawson 613 Baltimore Drive, Suite 300 Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702-7903 V. 570.821-1994 x236 F. 570-821-1990 www.borton-lawson.com ***************************** New Site from The Kenzig Group!
