I have found a utility that does it, Advanced Renamer 2.57, allows
wildcards in the replace method, so I can replace ' -*' with ''.

Hi,
I have thousands of folders that I need to rename, the current format of
the folders are "Number - Description", and I wish to remove the "-
Description" part. For example;
1 - Description
1000 - Description
10000 - Description
I have been looking at loads of rename utilties and I can't find one
where I can say delete the - and everything after it. Because the
numbers are between 1 and 5 characters in length I can't crop at a fixed
position.
Is anyone aware of any utilities or scripts that would allow me to
achieve this.
