Exchange defrag online is not as effective as running defrag offline. He is
telling you that you will see limited results if you don't run the defrag
offline. You are only screwed if you don't run a defrag at all.

Hi Gunnar

Yopu need to do a defrag offline using eseutil have a look on MS KB for all
the switches. Online defrag does not recover all space. You'll be amazed
(not)

My Exchange server has to much crap in it so I'm putting policies to limit
the amount of space a user can take. Now all my users have gone through and
I can tell that there mailbox sizes are a lot smaller. However my harddrive
space on the server has not changed. Is there anyway to get the server to
realize that there is room free.

Gunnar
