Yup.
I have tried flashing the BIOS to other versions.
This is actually quite an old board and I should really just toss it and
upgrade, but I am an adrenalin junkie and the excitement of trying to
get something done on this computer before it hoses itself makes it just
too exciting to let go...

Really, it is just a junker that will soon be put out to pasture.

I know that this is pretty obvious, but 1 question, have either of you
looked to the drivers/BIOS for you particular MB being the problem. I
know that in the past when I have been on the manufacturer forums,
people usually write things about a particular BIOS version causing
problems and/or drivers being the issue. Have you flashed to the latest
BIOS or back to a previous, more stable version. Just checking. These
sorts of issues would not necessarily show up in a memory test.
