This may be out of context seeing that it is a Windows 2000 forum but, have you thought about putting Linux on it to see how it runs. I have an older P-III 700Mhz MB with 384 MB of Ram acting as a storage/FTP server. Installed Samba and an Intel SATA Raid card along with 4 - 80GB SATA Drives and it has been running like a champ. Just a thought, since you said you were "trying to get something done on this computer before is hoses itself...". Daryl S.
