MessageI think you can add www as a host pointed to your web server. Not
perfect but should fix this problem.

Right, basically your DNS server is saying "Hey I know faaerfcu.org, it's
right here, I don't need to go out to the web to find it".

OK, I'm sure it has to do with your active directory name.....I didn't
fully read the error, but on the bottom, it says that the isa server is
called nj1proxy2.faaerfcu.org.

That means that the AD domain is faaerfcu.org. Since that is the
internal DNS name as well, it will not try to search for the external site
faaerfcu.org.

I now there are workarounds for this, but it would have been smarted to
call your internal domain faaerfcu.local or something.

    Good luck,

      Hi,

We just set up an ISA server running windows 2k and AD. We have
internet connectivity and can browse without any problems except that we
cannot access our own home page. We do not house our web site. I can ping
the site by IP address but cannot by its name. When trying to access the
site we get the following error:

The Web site cannot be found

The Web site you are looking for is unavailable due to its
identification configuration settings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

            Please try the following:

            1. Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

            2. If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make
sure that it is spelled correctly.

            3. Click the Back button to try another link.

            Technical Information (for support personnel)

            1. Background:
This error indicates that the gateway could not find the IP
address of the Web site you are trying to access.

            2. ISA Server: nj1proxy2.faaerfcu.org
            Via:
            URL: http://www.faaerfcu.org/
            Time: 9/15/2003 5:06:50 PM GMT

Anyone have any ideas as to why we cannot access the site internally?
Im guessing it has something to do with DNS but im new to Active Directory
and ISA and im all out of options

      Thanks,

      Paul.
