I agree cost will eventually be an issue... Perhaps this will push =
manufacture into eventually merging the two technologies together (with =
different levels of performance), drive down the cost of SCSI =
peripherals, drives, etc. and/or simply push the ATA technology into =
higher-end systems.

I'm actually trying out ATA/UDMA on a secondary (non-critical)
server. It has run for about a year now, without problems. Well,
except for the primary hd crashing fatally after a week after
building the server. I shouldn't have used an old drive in the
