[windows2000] Backups

Hello,
I am trying to backup an Exchange2000 server to a snap server using the
windows2000 backup program. I wanted to do a full backup every Friday
and differential backups mon-thurs. Should I create a new backup file
for each day or use the same file for every backup. I have never used
the windows backup program and I apologize if this seems like a stupid
question. Any advice would be appreciated.
