You can't do a file based backup of active directory...

Do a "System State" backup on your domain controllers, and you will have a
backup of the active directory as well.

If you are using a third party backup application to backup, and it doesn't
support System State backups, either upgrade it, or use NTBackup to backup
System State to file, and then backup that file.

Hello:

I was just wondering: which folder(s) should be backed up when you want to back
up Active Directory to tape? Thanks.
