I've a 2003 box that has two nics.. I've simplified the networks to make it easier to understand.. but each entry has something set.. Both are statically configured Nic1 - 192.168.0.2 mask /24 DG 192.168.0.1 DNS 192..168.0.1 Nic2 10.10.10.2 /24 DG 10.10.10.1 DNS 10.10.10.1 Now the issue is that yesterday if I did a nslookup I'd get - default server : server192 address: 192.168.0.1 today it's swapped to the server10 address 10.10.10.1 Is there a way to make Nic1's DNS be "the master" DNS or lock the machine to use NiC1 to always use the 192.168.0.1 DNS server ??? I've got around the issue by removing DNS entries for NIC2 (10.x.x.x) but I'll need to resolve addresses on this range later on. I had thought of host file... but that's a bit lame. Any keywords I need to google ? Thanks, ********************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. //www.freelists.org/list/windows2000
