ok, here you go Tracy. Follow the steps below, and it should work just fine
for you.
1. open winamp, and do a ctrl P for preferences.
2. down arrow to the pluggins section, and find the output pluggins branch.
3. Tab into the list view, and make sure the wave out pluggin is
selected(down arrow, and then up arrow to make sure it is selected
properly!) Tab to the configure button, and tap your space bar.
4. Tab through this dialogue box, and you will come to some volume control
check boxes. The alt setting mode check box is the one you want to make sure
is checked. Don't change any other settings, just the alt setting mode.
5. tab to the ok button, tap your space bar, and then shift tab to the close
button, and then tap the space bar again. Start a song, and then try
adjusting your volume. It should, by all rights, adjust just the winamp
volume, and leave the system volume completely alone! Good luck!
