winamp playlist portability

Hi all, just wondering something, and that is, if I have created a
playlist in winamp, and save it in a folder where some of the items are
in the playlist, and move the playlist to another location, the
playlist doesn't play? It seems that all the items in the playlist
have to be in a folder other then the location where the playlist is
saved for the playlist to be truly portable, and I wonder why this is?
I have a playlist called freeman3.pls, and I can move it around from
folder to folder, and drive to drive, and it will still play
everything, yet, you would think that you should be able to save the
playlist in the same folder where some of the items are, move it, and
have it still play, but not so, and I was wondering if anybody else
noticed this, and why this is?
