High Sunshine,
How are those MP3 files encoded?
Sometimes if they're encoded wrong, Winamp or any other media player will have
problems playing them.
Windows Media won't play them at all if they aren't encoded properly.
Try using a peace of converting software like Switch to reencode them, and then
try playing them in Winamp.
If that doesn't do the trick, then you may have some corrupt files on your
hands.
My best regards.
  John.
