ah, sounds like it might be the L365 imbeded player.
You can change this in your listener preferences so Winamp comes up, but by default, the imbeded player comes up. That's what I would suspect it is. I haven't used L365 for like years, so I wouldn't be able to tell you where the listener preferences are now. Perhaps someone else who does can help you, off list, of course!

Can you be a little specific about your problem? Are you referring to Windows media player used on live365?

Subject: question about windows

Hi. I listen to live365 quite a bit--I'm not sure if this is relevant to my problem, but I think it is.--When a new station comes up it opens a new window (not a new instance of winamp). This window has a name of something like "avs" or "ads". An inser+t doesn't get the window name, so I'm not sure what it is, but it is a big resource hog.

So, my question is, is there anyway I can keep this thing from coming up, and what is it?

Thanks,
Bob W
