Hi everyone. I wish, in some way I could properly describe this problem. It is
annoying in the extreme, this "trunkating of files" which is not truly
necessary, I mean "pulse," plays the files fine, and I'd rather use winamp
but can't I mean it will play them but I cannot use the right arrow/left arrow
keys to traverse the files after a certain point they will not go! I mean,
there is no mo go key in that button, it stops and keeps repeating the
same sylable it lands on over and over, and if there is more than one file in
the play list, it goes to the next one and plays that. If I could send one of
you knowledgable folks on this list an mp3 I am having trouble with
to see if you have the same problem, maybe it would prove to me I am not losing
my grip in some way, *smile* because I uninstalled, deleted winamp folders and
all subfolders, re-installed from a known good archive
and the problem, still there. Does anyone here have msn and would be willing to
accept a rather large file to try out and see if it happens on your machine? If
this continues, honest I will install 2.95 in another directory
and use that! Too bad about the security issue, but I just cannot play these
book length files, in this version of winamp. I wonder if it has to do with the
bit rate, vbr issue in some way? I will fool around with one of
these files in Sound Forge to see.
