it can be explained because freedom scientific has a bunch of imcompetent tech
support personell and their project managers don't care about fixing problems,
just rolling out new versions which bump up people's sma count so they can make
more money. I'll never ever give them any of the money that we as a family
earn.

Hello Arlene and all other list members,
I am a little ahead of you in that aspect.
I spoke to them about that problem, they insisted that there was nothing
wrong with their software.
They kept on telling me, that the problem was with Winamp.
I also told them about a problem that I had using Internet Explorer 7 and 8.
They told me, nothing is wrong with their software, it's with Internet
Explorer 7 and 8.
But when I rolled back to JFW 10, those problems went away.
So, how do you explain that?
    John.

Then, you in General who have these problems must take it up with Freedom
scientific.

      Hello,
The problem you are running in to has nothing to do with Windows 7.
It doesn't matter if rather you have the 32 bit version or the 64 bit
version, that's not the problem.
The problem is with JFW 11.
I had that on my Windows XP machine right along with Winamp 5.571 and
5.572.
There are allot of things that JFW 11 just won't read to you.
But this is not only true about Winamp, I've had problems trying to read
things else where using that version of JFW, but that is a different horse of
a different collar.
      My best regards.
        John.

why would you say that? I have a 64 bit windows 7 machine and winamp
works just great with it.

You mean some blind folk own 64 bit with windows 7? It must make it
hard to manage winamp!

Are you using a 64-bit version of windows 7? If you are I have
exactly the same problem.

            Cheers

Ok, I'm not sure if it is something that I am doing, or not doing
for that matter, but functions that used to work, no longer work. Firstly, for
those that I know are going to ask anyway, I am running the newest version of
winamp, downloaded directly from winamp.com. Next, I am running windows 7, and
jaws 11. Ok, now that that is out of the way, my first concern is the time
markers. When I have a track playing, and press the m key, instead of allowing
me to place a time marker, I get the announcement that there is no track
playing, when clearly there is. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on a
fix..., or even a work around? I already know that the library is buggy, so I'm
not even gonna attempt to figure that one out. The second item that I am having
problems with is the alt R key command. I can adjust the amount of time that
winamp will jump to at the end of the track, but when I do the alt R key
command, nothing happens. I don't think I am missing anything, but I do know
that this function used to work in earlier versions of winamp and jaws, because
it was a function that I used frequently. I'm starting to wonder if it is a
software problem, or if it might be more of a flaw in the JFW scripts. If
anyone has any good ideas, I'll appreciate any and all comments!

            Rob
