hi. If it's other files that do this too, some older versions of Winamp took a while to start. Also remember that you've recorded your file as a .wav and saved it as a mp3, so that also may have something to do with it, I doubt it though. Either way, if we determine that it is goldwave, I'd like to suggest that any further discussion of the problem be taken to another list like pc-audio. If it is Winamp, we'll certainly try to help as best we can.

In goldwave if you haven't set it up to not do so, it puts a certain amount of silence at the beginning of the file that you create.Rick =======Visit my webpage and podcast feed at <http://www.blind-geek-zone.net>www.blind-geek-zone.net----- Original Message ----- From: <mailto:lbuntemeyer@xxxxxx>Loren buntemeyer To: <mailto:winamp4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>winamp4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, May 27, 2007 5:46 PM Subject: delay before playWhen I use Goldwave to record a speech and save it as a .wav file, and then save it as a .mp3 file in my documents, it takes one minute at lease for Winamp to start playing.
