Hey dude, i'm copying the winamp list on this as well.

I tried different files and the sample rate and bitrate didn't seem to matter at all. some files will play and some won't. Files that won't play by pressing enter on them also don't play when trying to open them from within the application.

I tried running it in compatibility mode for windows xp sp2 as well as windows 2000 and running it as administrator and those things didn't do anything either.

This is after reinstalling it for a third time and being sure options like the transcode tool were checked and ensure that all file types were selected for sure. i'm at a complete loss now. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd be open to them because I have a show that I need to do tomorrow.

Someone suggested that I try running an older version of the program but I don't have an install package for such a thing and it would probably bug me until I updated. Having said that, if it works with an older version, I could run the installer for the new one and just select previous install instead of custom and see what happens. Thanks for the further help.

Scott

Hey man. I wonder if the problem you're having now has to do with the
sampling rate of the files. I'm not talking about the bitrate of the
MP3s, but rather the samples per second: 41,000, 22,050, etc.
