Hi Arlene. I know this will drift slightly off topic, so I will make it brief. I haven’t had any consistent luck with winamp playing video files in quite some time. At times, either it wouldn’t play the files at all, or all I got was the audio..., no video to be seen. A friend of mine recommended that I try the KLite codec pack. Tell your friend to do a search for the most recent version of it. Do the full install, and then once installed, right click on the video file in question, and then go to the open with option in the menu. Select the choose program option. In the list, select the media player classic..., not to be confused with windows media player either. Make sure that the always use the selected program is checked, and then click ok. This way, winamp will always play your audio files, and media player classic will play the selected video files. The program is very user friendly as well. Hope that helps a bit!
