Hi Chris,

Keep in mind that you are not losing access to the streams. If you place a
phrase or word in the search box, you will still find all referenced
streams. The only thing you lose is the ability to browse at your leisure
and find new things in that manner.

For example, if you type oldies in the search box, you'll get several
hundred streams with oldies in the title. If you type in 1980's, you'll get
several streams--probably better to leave off the 19 part.

So just get used to it, in the event that this is permanent. I do know that
even though I am running cable here, it used to take an incredibly long time
sometimes 3 or 4 minutes for the whole list of streams to load. This is
despite that the whole file is only about 500 KB.

Take care.

Guys, guys. Let'sreally, realy stop and think about this for a second. How
many millions of Winamp users are there? Not as many as windows media and
rp but it's still a significant amount. The trick of increasing the number
of streams got leaked to the forums too, so let's imagine everybody trying
to access those servers at once. Quite a hog of bandwidth. and why would
admins on the Winamp forums lie to the very users of the program?
so this would explain the cap they've placed on their servers. the count
has been set at 1000 but is only temporary.

That's the final word, til they set it back to what it was.
