Well, as I said, I don't make a great deal of use of the library, so that really presents no immediate problem for me. My Audigy card does support 24 bit playback. That's why I was so surprised that I hadn't gotten around to using it up to now. I didn't realise that Winamp contained an option for 24 bit playback. I had the MAD plugin for a couple of years before I made that discovery. I had tried the 24 bit option in MAD, and it simply sounded flat, but when I discovered that option in Winamp, and then also set MAD for 24 bit, my whole world changed forever <g>.
